West Keegans Bayou Improvement District Fence
West Keegans Bayou Improvement District Fence
Debris Removal
The Board of Directors of West Keegans Bayou Improvement District (“WKIBD”)
understands that property owners suffered significant property damage during Hurricane Beryl.
However, this is a reminder to property owners that the dumping of ANY debris within or
along the Bayou is strictly prohibited and a violation of the WKBID’s Rate Order, punishable by
fines. In recent weeks, fence repair companies or lawn crews have placed fencing debris within
or adjacent to WKBID’s Bayou.
WKBID does not wish to impose fines on property owners; however, the debris within
WKBID’s Bayou is an impediment for the mowing crew and if the Bayou cannot be maintained
properly, the mosquito population will increase and the fencing debris will make its way into the
channel and negatively impact the flow of water/flood control. This can lead to a major health
and safety hazards.
PLEASE REMOVE ALL FENCING DEBRIS FROM THE BAYOU RIGHT OF WAY
IMMEDIATELY. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN NOTICE OF VIOLATIONS
AND RESULTING FINES.
Thank you for your cooperation.
